The CICP will offer Continuing Education for CI Test Examiners on June 21 in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Atlanta Fly Fishing School. The CI Examiner workshop offered is required for qualification as Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Examiner Status.
Two faculty members from the Examiner Development Pathway, David Barron and David Diaz, will present the CI Examiner Workshop. To be eligible to register for credit under the EDP, participants must have MCI in hand. The fee for the CI Examiner’s Workshop is $75, and it includes printed and electronic course materials and lunch.
Participatory conduct will be required. To earn credit, all attending instructors will present assigned casting task demonstrations, participate and lead discussions about candidate casting faults and examiner faults seen regularly, take written tests, and provide a workshop evaluation. All students in the CE Workshop shall bring tackle that meets the CI Test Specifications for use in the workshop.
Those interested in qualification as Examiners under the EDP should go to the IFFF Store to register and pay for the CI Examiners CE Workshop. The CE Workshop is for professional training and not open to guests.
The Continuing Education event is a second in a series that commenced in Long Beach, California, in March. The next Continuing Education event offering the CI Examiners Workshop will be in Livingston, Montana, in August of 2014.
