Offical Rules for Catch and Release Photo Contest
The Federation of Fly Fishers invites you to share your best catch and release image for use on our website to educate others on Catch and Release fishing. Proper handling and release techniques are important to convey to all anglers. When done properly, catch and release fishing helps us to protect our valuable fishing populations for many others to enjoy.
Contest Dates: January 1, 2010 to June 1, 2010
Content Requirements:
The best photos of catch and release should display best practices for fish handling of warmwater, coldwater or saltwater species involved. In general, fish should still be in the water or with minimal contact by the angler with wet hands. If the fish is out of the water, it should be wet with water and display gentle handling by the angler.
Physical Requirements:
All photos must be at electronic digital photos at least 1 MB in size (no larger than 6 MB).
All photos should be in jpeg format.
Digital photos may be submitted using the entry form.
Photographer/Copyright
Entries must be submitted by the original photographer. Do not submit a photo taken by someone other than yourself. You must be the sole owner of the copyright of any image submitted. Your submission of the photo and entry form is your guarantee that you are the author and copyright holder of the photo.
By entering the contest, photographers agree to have their submitted photograph displayed on the
www.fedflyfishers.org website without any fee or other form of compensation. Photos submitted to the Federation of Fly Fishers will be reviewed for appropriateness and select photos will be used. Once submitted to the Federation of Fly Fishers, photos may be used in outreach and education materials at the discretion of the Federation of Fly Fishers. Any photo that is used will display the name of the photographer.
Additional Terms and Conditions
The Federation of Fly Fishers is not responsible for computer system, hardware, software, or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, or delayed computer transactions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. Furthermore, the Federation of Fly Fishers is not responsible for: (i) lost, misdirected, misplaced, illegible, unintelligible, incomplete, or late entries or (ii) any act, failure to act, or delay regarding the transmitting or processing of entries. The Federation of Fly Fishers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend all or any portion of this contest without notice if factors beyond the Federation of Fly Fishers' control, including technical difficulties, disrupt or corrupt the fair or secure administration or operation of the contest. Void where prohibited. The Federation of Fly Fishers is entitled to interpret these rules as needed and its decisions are final. The Federation of Fly Fishers reserves the right to disqualify any entrant that Federation of Fly Fishers has reason to believe is not the original work of entrant, or does not otherwise meet the contest rules.
By participating in the contest, you agree to release and hold harmless the Federation of Fly Fishers and its employees, officers, affiliates, agents, and advertising and promotional agencies from any and all damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind resulting from your participation in this contest, including infringement of intellectual property rights. The Federation of Fly Fishers and its employees, officers, affiliates, agents, and advertising and promotional agencies assume no responsibility or liability for any damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind arising in whole or in part from this contest.
