Conservation Awards
 
The Federation of Fly Fishers Awards Program has been developed to recognize those individuals, Clubs and other organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the Federation, our environment, fishery resources, angling literature and the fly tackle industry.
 
There are several conservation awards: 
Aldo Leopold Conservation Award
FFF Conservation Award
Stanley Lloyd Award
Dr. James Henshall Warmwater Conservation Award
J. Marriot Scholarship Award

Awards Committee -
The Awards Committee is comprised of a Chairperson, President of each Council and the FFF President. Council Presidents may wish to designate another person to sit on the Committee in his /her place.  The Awards Committee will make final decisions on all nominations.

The schedule for the implementation of the Conservation Awards Program is as follows:
February 15th DEADLINE FOR CONSERVATION NOMINATIONS
April 1st DEADLINE FOR ALL OTHER FFF AWARD NOMINATIONS
May 15th Distribution of Nominations to the Awards Committee
June 15th Awards Committee Conference Call (Closest Sunday Evening)
July 1st Notification of Recipients (if deemed necessary)
July 15th Press releases about recipients to FFF Media Contact.
August CONCLAVE President's / Awards Banquet
August 15th Article to Flyfisher, Clubwire and Webmaster
 
 
 
Nominations and Documentation
 

It is extremely important that each nomination is well documented. The decision on each of these Awards can be very difficult and the more information the Awards Committee has will make the task easier. All nominations must include the following information:
Letters of support of nominations will be accepted by e-mail on the accepted form provided on the FFF Website or by standard mail.
Full name of the nominee - individual or Club/Group.
Address of the nominee - street, city, state, zip code.
Phone number and e-mail address of the nominee.
Age of the nominee (optional)
A short summary of the nominee's merits and adherence to the criteria of the award should be included in the letter of nomination.
Nominations should not exceed four (4) typewritten pages in length.
Documentation of individual awards should include detailed documentation of adherence to the criteria of the specific award. Letters of support from other individuals or groups are advisable. It shall be the responsibility of the individuals or organization making the nomination to provide proper documentation. Nominations without proper documentation may not be considered.
Only one nomination per submission.
