Invitation to visit the International Federation of Fly Fishers' Museum from Federation of Fly Fishers on Vimeo.

IFFF Preserves the History of the Sport & Organization

The headquarters of the Federation of Fly Fishers currently houses the Federation’s collection of fly fishing objects, art, and books. As an integral part of the Federation, the collection and library represent the culture and history of fly fishing and the environmental and public-policy issues affecting the sport.  Thus the Collection supports the FFF mission of “conserving, restoring, and educating through fly fishing”.

The majority of items are on display on walls and in cabinets. We have a large collection of M.C. Simon watercolors, Buz Buszek Award winners’ fly plates, antique rods, FFF Award plaques, antique fly books, and much more. We are currently cataloguing the entire collection and will be developing exhibits in the near future. If you would like to help us preserve this valuable collection, please click on the “Donate Now” button below.

Visitor comment

"I hadn't seen the new FFF museum until I stopped by there last week.  The all volunteer committee headed up by Sherry Steele, along with the wonderful work of FFF employee Holly Sandbo, has done an absolutely amazing job.

They have not only curated the collection, they have it displayed in such a way as to take advantage of every square inch of available space, without anything looking crowded.  There is a wonderful display of Lee and Joan Wulff memorabilia, many nicely framed flies tied by everyone from Art Flick to Lefty Kreh, which are worth a visit by themselves, many rods of all kinds, silk lines, and an extensive library.  If you haven't seen it and are near the Livingston, MT area I urge you to stop and spend an hour or two.  You will not be disappointed."
