Bill Heckel

Bill has been tying for over fifty years and teaching fly tying for about thirty five years. He has tied for the Federation since 1972 nationally and for regional conclaves. The Federation presented Bill with Buz Buszek Memorial Award at the 2003 Conclave. He is a life member of the Federation, the Theodore Gordon Fly Fishers and a member of the Northwest Atlantic Salmon Tiers Guild. Bill has written for the Fly Tying and Fly Fishing periodical in the United Kingdom. His work and history as a tyer appears in the second volume of Fly Tiers of the World. Bill was a contributor in Mike Ridenchic's last book on Atlantic Salmon flies with ten patterns from the 1800's.
